Welcome to the northwest Indiana Teacher Training Hub!
The purpose of the Northwest
Indiana Teacher Training Hub is to connect teachers with quality professional
development opportunities here
in northwest Indiana.
Our goals are:
• To better prepare teachers to educate students in science and environmental/biodiversity
related issues.
• To provide a comprehensive, sequential and holistic approach to science
education training with an environmental/biodiversity focus for
teachers within the region.
• To aid teachers in their license renewal process
Universities, non-formal educators, state, local, and federal agencies and other providers have listed information about their upcoming workshops and teacher professional development opportunities. Search our workshops to see what’s available and how it might enhance your classroom.
Check out the Hub’s Professional Development Series page for information on the benefits of registering for multiple workshops, and find links to workshop providers.
For complete information on Indiana License Renewal visit the Division of Professional Standards page of the Indiana Department of Education website.
This project was funded through a grant program supported by the USDA Forest Service Northeastern Area, State and Private Forestry, and US Fish & Wildlife Service in support of Chicago Wilderness. USFWS and USFS grants of federal monies are administered by the Illinois Conservation Foundation.
